SKID painting systems

How our SKID painting systems work

The workpieces are attached to so-called SKIDs. A SKID is a robust metal pallet or frame that has been specially developed for the safe transport of large and heavy parts.

The SKIDs move through the painting system either on rails or by means of a conveyor system.

At a glance:

  • “Power and free” floor conveyor for flexible coating
  • Two-sided coating of parts
  • Robot extension optional

Advantages of a SKID painting system

  • High load capacity: SKIDs are extremely stable and can transport heavy workpieces safely through the system.
  • Flexibility: Different workpiece sizes and shapes can be processed.
  • Precision: The use of modern painting robots ensures a uniform coating.
  • Integrated transport process: The SKID transports the workpiece through all stations, which facilitates process automation.
