Areas of application for our painting systems

Functional applications of the painting systems:

  • Surface protection:
    • Corrosion protection for metal parts (e.g. cosmetic tools such as tweezers or scissors).
    • Protective coatings on plastic parts against chemicals or abrasion.
      Decorative effects:
  • Metallic or pearlescent coatings for design surfaces.
    • Coatings with special colour effects, e.g. chameleon colours.
  • Technical coatings:
    • Antimicrobial coatings that offer hygiene benefits.
    • Thermally or electrically insulating coatings for components in appliances or accessories.
  • Automated precision:
    • Use of robotics and spraying technologies to coat complex shapes such as curved flacons or ornamented designs.

Advantages:

  • Efficiency: Faster and more uniform coating of large quantities.
  • Precision: Ability to coat even the smallest objects or details.
  • Flexibility: Adaptation to different substrates (glass, metal, plastic).
  • Sustainability: Use of modern technologies, e.g. water-based paints, to minimise environmental impact.

Coating systems in the cosmetics industry

In the cosmetics industry, our coating systems are used to apply aesthetic and functional coatings to products and packaging. Examples of this are

  • Bottles and tubes: High-gloss finishes, metallic effects or matt surfaces on glass or plastic containers.
  • Make-up tins and lids: Coatings that create luxurious or special visual effects, such as soft-touch coatings.

Brake discs

Painting systems play an important role in the brake disc sector, particularly with regard to protection, durability and visual enhancement.

  • Corrosion protection:
    • Paintwork protects brake discs from rust and corrosion, especially in regions with high humidity or in winter when road salt is heavily used.
Special heat-resistant and corrosion-resistant paints are often used.
  • Visual enhancement:
    • Many manufacturers rely on decorative coatings to give brake discs a high-quality appearance, especially for vehicles in the premium or sports segment.
  • Heat-resistant coatings:
    • As brake discs reach high temperatures during intensive use, heat-resistant coatings are used that do not crack or chip even under extreme conditions.
  • Sustainable paints:
    • The use of water-based and low-VOC (volatile organic compound) paints helps to reduce the environmental impact.

Adhesion promoter
Rubber-metal compounds

Adhesion promoters are applied precisely in painting systems with spraying robots to guarantee an even layer.

Function of adhesion promoters:

  • Bonding strength: Bonding agents create a chemical bond between the surfaces of rubber and metal.
  • Weather resistance: The coating protects against environmental influences such as moisture, heat, UV radiation or chemicals.
  • Vibration and oscillation damping: Particularly important in the automotive industry for engine mounts, rubber buffers or seals.
  • Durability: They prevent the materials from separating under load or due to ageing.

Painting systems for plastic painting

Plastic painting is a highly specialised field in which our painting systems play a central role. Plastics require special processes and materials, as they often have a lower surface energy than metals and require a bonding agent.

Painted plastics are used in numerous industries, including the automotive industry, consumer goods, electronics and medical technology.

Modern painting systems for metal parts have clear advantages:

  • Highly automated:
    • Precise control by spraying robots that ensure even coatings on complex geometries.
  • High flexibility:
    • Adaptation to different types of metal such as steel, aluminium, zinc or brass.
  • Efficiency:
    • Faster cycle times and consistent quality for large quantities.
  • Quality control:
    • Use of optical sensors and measuring systems to check coating thickness and surface quality.
  • Conserving resources:
    • Closed material cycles and improved application processes minimise paint losses and environmental pollution.
